Nicely done styles… but a bit over the top on some couples… some people need to remind them they’re not fencing with their arms… it’s a bullfight!

All of those dances …
All of those dances that you talk about still come from Cuba. They all make up the Salsa that we dance today. So I don’t know why I’m getting a lot of flack for stating that it comes from Cuba. Pure evidence that people are still in denial.

perdona pero no. En cuba se origino el guaguanco, la guaracha, el son y muchos mas, pero la salsa fue originada en new york cuando mesclaron, a varios ritmos y el resultado fue la salsa. si tu eschuchas con mucho cuidado te daras cuenta que son ritmos bellos pero muy diferentes…viva cuba

Off topic man… this is a Paso Doble, where did you get the idea that it could be salsa?? Also, HouseFreq is right, Paso Doble music is much much more beautiful than salsa, and we indeed love it. Although the music in this vid it’s not exactly a traditional Paso Doble

omg Cubans are good salsa dancers??? i don’t think so.. Cubans are very sloppy dancers. this is a Paso Doble so at least listen to the music before you make stupid comments.

The Paso Doble is …
The Paso Doble is romantic. It tells the story of the tension between a strong willed man and woman bending each others wills to one another. Salsa is a bastardized imported version that is, frankly, just plain slutty (I’m not saying it isn’t a whole lot of fun, you just really can’t compare the two).
I would also caution against making such spurious remarks to a Spaniard. The Spanish take their Paso Doble very seriously.
