i need a digital camera that can take video of people dancing salsa in dark clubs?
i currently have a canon sd550 its great for everything else but i cant get good video inside certain clubs bcuz its just to dark. can i add a light to this thing? Is there an Accessory that i can buy for it. Or should i just invest in something new. Any recommendations? what about hdd camcorders are they worth buying ? im looking for a compact camera that can take video in dark places .

if you can change it to manual, and then ask them to stand still in the night club, and set your exposure so that it remains open for longer than usual, that should do it, but if the people move, the pic will be blurry. For times, or more advice ask a photography teacher.

You'd probably be better off getting a real camcorder with a nightshot mode. Sony has the real nightshot mode that sees infrared, but a lot of camcorders have a nightshot mode designed for low light that just picks up visible light really well.
