How long does it take to start competitive salsa dancing?
if i'm a beginner
how long will it take me to learn the salsa to a degree where i can do competitions?
Depends..
#1 If you have had other types of dance training, like jazz or ballet, then you could be competing in a few months.
#2 If you are naturally athletic and graceful, have good rhythm, and have a good partner and teacher, then about a year.
#3 If you are not naturally athletic, have no natural rhythm, are not even sure what "grace" is, have no balance, then you could be like me…. still working on it 5 years down the line.
hehehehe…
