roberree im sorry but salsa on 2 aka new york style mambo is no were near american ballroom style salsa nystyle mambo came from the slums of new york(in the era of the palladium) and is wildly known as a street dance in the eyes of ballroom instructors

Miami and San Francisco are the more cuban style on 1.
New York / New Jersey is mostly Mambo, or “Salsa on 2″, which is also the American ballroom style of salsa

The most common salsa in clubs is the basic simple steps. Most of the time the great dancers get together in specific Clubs and it’s call the pro=dancer Clubs. I’m been in some of those Clubs and I just go to see them dance.
